We specialize in bringing beautiful live music to a wide range of private, corporate and government functions. Our celebrated Festival String Quartet has performed at receptions for Prince Phillip, the Queen Mother, Prime Ministers of Canada, the Governor General, U.S. President Bill Clinton and the President of China.
Classical Sounds Entertainment offers combinations of Quartets, Trios, Duos and Solo performers to satisfy all of your musical needs. Our roster of talent includes some of the finest players in the region, including members of the National Arts Centre Orchestra, the chamber orchestra Thirteen Strings and the Gatineau Symphony Orchestra. Although the agency is based in Canada’s capital, Ottawa, our various groups have performed throughout Canada and the US.

Douglas Brierley
DOUGLAS BRIERLEY
Douglas Brierley holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto (Violin Performance). After graduating, he played with the Hamilton Philharmonic, Kitchener – Waterloo Symphony and Symphony Nova Scotia. While in Toronto he founded the Festival String Quartet, a group he still plays with today. He re-located to Ottawa to accept a position as violinist with the Canadian Forces String Ensemble. In 1994 he formed Classical Sounds Entertainment Agency and he is also a Registered Piano Technician. Douglas is delighted to offer his musical expertise and talent to enhance the magic of your event!
BOOKING INFORMATION
Once you have decided on the desired group and amount of time, the following steps are taken:

Verbal or email confirmation.

Contract sent out.

Signed contract returned with a cheque for the full amount post-dated to the wedding day. No deposit is required.
In the event you are unable to listen to the musical samples,
we will send you our package (incl CD), please fill out our request form.
